Full Circle
The image returns to the human.
Proposed installation
Full Circle · Proposed installation study · 2026
Full Circle is a proposed participatory installation that extends {Conscientia} from a personal record into an encounter with others.
This page describes how the installation could take form: the space, the voice, the canvas, the visitor's path through it, and how what they leave behind may return to the system.
The space
A sequence of images generated through my daily writing and the system I designed and coded is projected across the ceiling as a continuous loop.
The projection unfolds as a visual timeline, tracing an evolution that is not linear and placing the visitor inside it.
To see it, visitors have to look up. The room stays dim, so the images become the main source of light.
The voice
A recorded voice guides visitors through a minimal sequence of prompts:
What word is becoming conscious in you?
Write it.
Leave a trace.
Moments of silence follow each prompt. The voice asks; it does not explain.
The canvas
Image printed on the canvas · February 1, 2026
A first canvas has already been printed. It holds one image from the archive, generated from my writing on February 1, 2026, the day I recognized that life, and evolution, are not linear. Its size is not fixed and can be adjusted to the space.
The image is printed within a larger surface. Its edges are intentionally unfinished, leaving space beyond the image for someone else.
The image begins as a trace of me. What happens when someone else encounters it?
The visitor's path
- Enter The visitor steps into a dim room. The images move overhead.
- Look up They can stand, or sit on the floor, and follow the timeline across the ceiling.
- Listen The voice asks what word is becoming conscious in them, then leaves silence.
- Leave a trace At the canvas, they respond with a word, mark, gesture, or trace of their own, using oil pastels or other materials.
- Witness Their mark joins those left before. The next visitor meets a surface that has already changed.
Materials
- Printed canvas with an unfinished surface, sized to the space
- Ceiling projection of {Conscientia} images, continuous loop
- Recorded voice and silence, spatial sound
- Oil pastels and other mark-making materials
- Low floor seating
Return to {Conscientia}
As interventions accumulate, the canvas becomes a shared surface shaped by many hands.
The resulting surface may eventually return to {Conscientia}: photographed and passed through the system the way a morning page is, beginning another cycle of translation.
Human → system → image → human → system
